„Кървавото писмо“

сряда, 14 януари 2009 г.

По-рано днес разпространихме до дипломатическите мисии на всички страни-членки на ЕС в България и много водещи европейски медии следното открито писмо:

To: all diplomatic representatives of the EU-members in Bulgaria; EU; all major European media. Copies to: all major Bulgarian media

Dear Sirs,

As you may already know, there is a big national protest which is going to take place in Bulgaria starting from January, 14th. The organizers of this protest are thousands of young people who communicate through the Internet. It is a protest which is not supported by political parties and it shall remain this way.

At this very moment the Sofia police calls young people who have declared their participation in the protest into the police departments to explain to them what harsh consequences they should expect if they get arrested tomorrow. The right to protest is guaranteed by the Bulgarian Constitution.

It is a protest of an entire generation – tens of thousands of young people who were raised after the fall of communism in 1989 and have free spirit and knowledge of the European way of living. It is a protest of the civil society which wants to see its country being governed by men who know the meaning of the words “morality” and “statecraft” and not by people whose interest is their own private wealth.

Bulgaria is related with the European values only in the hearts of its people, but not in the minds of the Bulgarian political class. Every normal person in Bulgaria – students, workers, businessmen supports the reforms which the EU requires our politicians to perform.

We support every single demand which Europe has to our politicians from all existing parties. We want your help by focusing your attention to what happens in our country. We are simply trying to see a democracy running in reality, not a facade democracy, which serves the interest of the former communists who turned into an economical oligarchy for the past 20 years.

Please, help the young and thinking people of Bulgaria to finally implement the European values into a country which is owned by the mafia!

Kancho Dragnev, Borislav Sandov, Miroslav Dzhokanov, Boris Dimov, Petar Petrov, Nikolai Kozarski and many others,
Organizers of the Bulgarian National Protest
